About Me

My photo
Bon Jovi rocks my world. So do the two little men in my life, Zak (13) and Robert (3). I love scrapbooking and cross stitch and, in a past life, ballroom dancing.

Love the Long Weekend....
Oh yeah - gotta love a long weekend with nothing to do and all weekend to do it in!
Did LOTS of scrapping - was so nice to just be able to potter around at my own pace. Zak was at his Dad's on Saturday arvy/night and didn't come home till about 6 on Sunday night. I was going out with a girlfriend but I felt a bit sniffly and off colour - it was so cold here on Saturday so I decided it would be best to stay at home.
I made a little mini album for a girl at work who has just had her first baby. The piccies aren't great - but it gives you the idea. I'm stoked with how it turned out. I'll see her in my holidays so I'll give it to her then. It was a 7 gypsies mini book with a little box to put it in. I've used Heidi Grace papers - so nice to work with girl colours instead of boys! And also a pack of Heidi Swapp bling.
Also did a layout for the June sketch challenge at Shop and Crop. Was nice to actually plan to do something and just do it instead of see the deadline pass me by.

And in breaking news - I got my hands on the new Bon Jovi album yesterday. Loving it. Yes, granted its not the Bon Jovi of old - but then again, I'm not the Shelley of old eh . Lots of talk about this album having more of a country edge. I don't know if I'm missing it or if I'm purposely blocking it out to try and relive the BON JOVI glory days. I hope the talk about it being a lil bit country doesn't turn people off listening.

There is a track called *Till we ain't strangers anymore*. Great song - it features Leann Rimes - who woulda thought eh .

Love the whole album - very listenable (if thats even a word). *Make a Memory* is still my favourite at the moment though - glad they've released that as the first single. *Any Other Day* is also up there. Meh - what am I saying - I love it all!

Checking out the boys on the CD cover with the lyrics - they are ageing ... still sexy as hell though .

Hope you all had an awesome weekend!
xx
