Tight ass Tuesday

No reason for the blog heading.. was the only Tuesday headline I could think of :p

Just another day in paradise in Brisvegas today. Loving this weather. Would love some more rain though!

Doing bosses job this week... dollars are great and must admit that with the new Minister at the helm - much more pleasant!

Had an idea from my good friend Nina (*waves*.. hi Nina... I know you're here - you're one of the two who read the blog - will have to send you a message to let you know I've updated :p).. made some Christmas cards and put them on ebay - low and behold they sold!! Have made some more and wacked them on there... at least if they don't sell I can use them. Not much else scrapping wise - I'm in a layout swap at Shop and Crop - can't wait to see the layout Rebecca has done for me in real life. The pic looks awesome!

Spent most of the weekend over at Jason's again - more painting inside. It's really starting to look great now. Hard work though! I'm still getting used to being with someone who likes to also take photos.. lol.. instead of me always popping up behind the camera, I've noticed I'm suddenly in front of it.. eeeeek

I have to share something with you - we have the "pleasure" of this free rag in the city in the afternoons... I don't usually bother reading it and I must say the only reason I picked it up was because a front page last week caught my eye - was about another shooting in a US school. Anyway, I digress.... the "newspaper" (and I use that term VERY lightly) is called MX. It has this little section in it called "here's looking at you" - this is where you'll find little beauties such as these:

"To the bogan hottie who catches the 5.26am Friday train from Landsborough who always wears the white Billabong jumper - you rock my world. Are you single? You're sweet as candy"

or how about this one:

"To the fun bubbly blonde who catches the 109 to UQ. I think your name is Georgie. You rock my world. Fancy a coffee at Uni?"

Then they have this section called "Vent Your Spleen". Aptly named apparently.. intellectual comments such as this one:

"I'm a guy new to your town. Because it's so hot, I'm asking if there is a restaurant here that lets you keep your shirt off during summer"

or my personal favourite:

"I hate this, I hate that.. Blah, rar rar, public transport. Human contact. That is all". That one has MY name written all over it... LOVE IT!!!

There ya go Peta - another blog entry!

over and out

More of an effort

Okay, I've decided to try and blog at least once per week. Just to record whats going on. It's almost Christmas (yeah Shelley... why don't you state the fricking obvious) and I don't know where the year has gone.

Things have changed BIG time for me. Met someone.. sigh.. its a nice feeling to feel "spesh" to someone. We've been together for a few months and its going fabulously!

First day back at school for the final term of grade three for Zak yesterday. He is growing up so quickly :(. Didn't get off to a good start for him - he took his footy tazo's (against his wise mum's advice) and of course got them confiscated for a week. Parent-teacher interview on Wednesday so hopefully I'll hear the "real story" of the confiscation then!

Little athletics has started again - and again - its fricking hard work! But Zak loves it.. and thats all that matters eh.

We had the soccer carnival back in September. Was a great day. Our team scored one goal in the whole three games.. Zak scored it. So for the season our team scored a grand total of three goals... lol.. Zak was pretty chuffed because he scored two of them.. poor kids - it never discouraged them though - they kept on playing. A couple of quick pics from the Carnival. Of course he couldn't manage a decent smile! He couldn't concentrate on smiling for the camera and eating the ice block at the same time.

We've also been out fishing a bit! It's great fun. Jason has a boat and loves to take it out. We've all had the chance to catch a fish - its just a matter of catching the "keepers". Most of our catches we have to throw back because they're not quite big enough.

Have been spending a fair chunk of time at Jason's - he's doing some work on his house so we've been over there "helping" him. Not much time for scrapping lately. But still getting in there when I can.

Shop and Crop are having a "Creative Escape" next year - can't wait! Charmaine and I have our tickets booked.. travel paid for. Now all we need to do is what to take with us! Bit worried about baggage limits lol.

Anyway, time to nick off and get ready for work. Yawnnnn... roll on Christmas break!
