Hmmmmm... where to start?

It's been a while (now that Staind song comes into my head) between drinks hey!

Lots of news.

Another year older... sigh.. they come around too quick don't they. Nice shiny new Ipod Nano from Jason... love it for the trips to work in the car (it plugs into my car stereo - no more dodgy radio ads for me!).

Zak is doing really well at school. Latest report card came home last week. 23 A's, 5 B's and 2 C's... very proud mum here. Then the next day he getsthe man of the match at soccer - scored two out of three of his team's goals... i'm still swelling with pride. And he's got a lead role in his grade 4 dramatic production (aka school play). He's playing one of the three pigs in a punk version of the three little pigs. I'm so nervous for him though. Even though he's a born performer I'm so worried he's going to get on that stage and freeze in front of everyone. Check out his grade 4 mug shot... oh dear.. there's always next year!

Work is work... still relieving in another position.... bla bla bla.. But overall I enjoy my job so I can't complain too much (just a little).

Have done NO scrapping - just haven't felt like it. Have hardly spent anytime at my favourite online scrapping forum.

And i'm quite proud of myself - I'm usually one of those people who can't say "no". A couple of weeks ago my cousin ask me (by email) to be a bridesmaid at her wedding. This cousin is a bit nutty and we've had many falling outs over the years and I try and keep my distance from her - she'sVERY high maintenance and I just don't have the energy to bother with her. And asking me via email to be her bridesmaid... what the? So I declined. I was polite and said I just didn't think it was a good idea as I'll have lots going on in my own life at the time and maybe she should ask one of her other friends. Needless to say she hasn't spoken to me since. But thats okay. Generally I'd be flattered and honoured to be asked to play such an important part in someone's wedding.. not this time.

Hmmm... what else?

Oh yeah - I'm having a baby in January next year. VERY EXCITED. Fingers crossed its pink. Doesn't matter too much - as long as he/she is healthy.Have had horrible morning sickness but hopefully now I'm at 13/14 weeksit's going to improve. Had our first scan last week - was great and the report back from the doc today says all is as it should be. Am looking forward to taking a decent amount of time off to spend at home and Zak is looking forward to being a big brother. His first words "cool, I can tease it"... lol he'll be a great big brother. Jason and I are still planning on getting married in July next year - won't be a big posh affair... I want to run away and do it - I'm not one who likes the attention - simple as that. LOL

My father will miss the birth of his second grandchild as he's gone back to the big house for a couple of years - just great.
