I've scrapped!
It's been an up and down few days since I last blogged. Mostly up! Saturday night was difficult - why do we base our happiness around other people? I wish I could learn to be happy without someone else. No matter how many inspirational sappy quotes I read it just doesn't happen! But, like I said, mostly up!
Went to the Rocklea markets on Sunday morning. It was nice to wander around on my own. Rod came over for a quick visit after work on Sunday - was good to see him. He and I went out together about 5 years ago for a couple of months. We've managed to remain very close. He has a 14 year old daughter who has a blog. He asked me to look at the blog on Saturday - it's quite scary what 14 year old girls are thinking about these days!
Thought a little about IHS over the weekend. The thoughts are getting less and less. I wrote a list on Friday. Of all the things that confirm he did me a favour by ditching my sorry ass :p. It's a great list!
No work tomorrow - off to sports day at school. It's an effort for me to mingle with the other parents. I just don't mingle well. But Zak loves to see me at school things so I'll go along and play the good school mum! And take lots of photos!
Got the car serviced on the weekend. Bad news is I have to take it back to the mechanic on Wednesday. He suspects a wheel bearing problem (whatever the flock that is!!!). The car is about 6 months out of its three year warranty.. so I'm really impressed! Goodbye $250-$300 smackers!
The burning question - will the Premier see the Governor tomorrow and call an election? Can't wait to see what happens this time around.
Feeling a bit bleh tonight - so I'll leave it here!

Shelley...what the bloody hell is hump day? I read it somewhere else too and I've never heard of it before..LOL Sounds interesting..to say the least..ROFL
Love the LO you've scrapped and glad to hear you had a bit of 'me' time. :)
I know what you mean with mingling..I had the same problem when I was working and didn't know anyone at the school that well. It's very cliquey isn't it? I hated going anywhere near the school but I suppose you have to for the kids' sake.
Have a great day.
Cheers
Sharryn :)
