A Proper Post
It's been a while since I posted properly. Although, peoples definitions of properly probably vary!
Am not yet settled in to the new place. Heaps of boxes yet to unpack etc etc. But we are getting there. I'm starting to really like it here. Ended up having two days off work earlier in the week to get over the moving debacle on Sunday. Still have this stupid head cold hanging around. I am so over snot!
Nothing too exciting to report. I've been in a feral mood this week so far. I've put it down to delayed PMS (I can do that eh.... it's my blog)!! Just one of those *hate the world* kinda moods. And everywhere I turn Romeo and Juliet are snogging in my face.
Work has settled down now since the election. Would have been noice to have a new Minister, but, alas, not this time sunshine. My boss is going to relieve in another position for 8 weeks from next Monday. I'm shit scared that I'm going to have to do his job. I've expressed my opinion - so hopefully he can find someone suitable for the eight weeks (suitable to me that is :p).
We had little athletics again last night. It wasn't too bad. A couple of new feral kids though. I don't understand how other parents can just let them run feral like that. Maybe I'm just extra strict I don't know. But trying to control 13 seven year old boys is not pleasant - and the added feralness doesn't help. They did hurdles for the first time last night. I'm a bit miffed that they didn't give the boys a practice run first. Zak has never done them and there were a couple of other first timers there as well. I'm so proud of my little man - he cleared the first one - then knocked the second one over. He tripped over the next two but got up and kept going and finished. He was crying by the time I got to the finish line and my heart just broke for him. I tried to reassure him that he did really well but it was so hard to not cry myself!! We joked about it this morning - I told him that his commando rolls were great. Hopefully he wasn't too traumatised by the event to do it again some day!
Have done no scrapping whatsoever! The scraproom is still mostly in boxes. Although I started to organise stuff in there yesterday arvy. Might try and get stuck in there tonight. Although today I seem to have injured my groin. And no, unfortunately it wasn't doing anything glamorous (or not so glamourous :p). I felt it hurt as I got into the car. So I might take it easy tonight and not do too much strenuous lifting/moving. Maybe I can catch up on my blog surfing! I still owe Sharryn a tag - thanks for that by the way - it's noice to be included!
If you've got this far - you've done better than me - I was lost at the second paragraph :p.

LOL @ the 'over snot' comment. Conjures up a real 'glam' image...ROFL
I'm sure you'll get the boxes unpacked when you're feeling better. Unpacking totally sucks..it's the worst part of moving.
Little A's sounds like it hasn't changed and must be a statewide thing having feral kids. I could never understand how parents could park their bums and not care what their kids were doing. It was a real turn off and one of the reasons why I stopped taking my kids as we weren't getting home till really late because there was too much stuffing around. I decided against enrolling them this year ..they can just stick to cricket. Good on Zak for completing those hurdles though..thats fantastic. At least he didn't walk away. He should be doing hurdles every 2 weeks so hopefully he'll get used to them.
Hmmmmm..wonder how you got that groin injury? Sounds odd doesn't it?? Hmmm?? ROFL Just kidding..probably lifting heavy boxes love..pity you can't blame it on something else hey??
And yes you can be *evil* on your own blog if you like and hate the world..LOL. We are allowed to get feral soemtimes even as grown-ups..LOL God knows I do.
Take care
Sharryn :)
Just wanted to say ..... THANKS A LOT FOR THE COLD!!!! Could have picked someone else to share it with (someone closer perhaps!).
Glad you've moved - don't envy you unpacking those boxes; absolutely HATE unpacking!
:o)
