Pinch and a Punch
My last day of my short holiday (apparently I need a week off to cope with Zak going back to school... thats what I tell the boss anyway :p) and I'm woken with that... sigh.. kids just don't "get" the beauty of a sleep in hey.
Well my boy is now a big grade fourer. He seems to be fitting in to his new school just fine. He was really nervous on Tuesday but held it together really well. I'm so proud. He's a bit of an emotional soul - bit like his mum. Of course he wasn't so keen on the first day photos. Here's a couple.
See what I mean? He's thrilled to be posing. It's got me - he normally LOVES to pose for the camera - just not first day shots. Was the same last year - check this beauty out.
A week off and not much scrapping. It's not that I haven't had time - I just haven't used the time wisely. Mind you - I've done a lot of unpacking and purging excess "stuff" here so I haven't completely wasted time.
Good news - my layout in the post below (I think its the post below - the Bounce layout) won the Jan sketch challenge at Shop and Crop. Was a surprise - I didn't read the newsletter till this morning and saw it there. I don't enter much - mostly because I can't get my act together :p so it was nice to have a win.
I'm off to enjoy my last day of "freedom" (ahhh freedom sweet freedom). Have a girly lunch planned and maybe I'll even get some scrapping done before Jason gets home from work. We are off to Tara to see his folks this weekend so I need to squeeze as much as I can in today.

LOVE those first day shots - you'll have to put them all in a mini album!! Glad things are going well and that you're back blogging....it's for my benefit anyway, right?? Congrats on winning the comp!
