Long weekend...
Yay to cruising into the long weekend. Hectic week at work. Stressing about a few things. Long story short is that my Director has told us that we are to backfill my position with a friend of mine. I've always made it a rule to not socialise with people I work closely with. The next few months are going to be difficult as we work our way through.
Think I'm getting the manflu that the rest of the house has been struck with for the past week. YAY me..
No scrapping this week. Plenty of thinking about it but just no doing. The May challenges are up at Challenge Heaven so I might make a start on them. Need to do my April/May challenge for the Scrapbooking Hut too.
Took Zak to watch the division 1 team at footy tonight. I think its good for him to go along to support even though he's not in that team. Was a great game. There were a few boys from Zak's school there that he said hi to throughout the night. One boy wore glasses and looked a little "different" to most of the other kids. He said hello to Zak (really excitedly) and Zak ignored him :(. I pulled Zak up and told him to not be so rude and he told me that no one likes him (the other boy). I tried to explain to Zak that just because other people might not like him it doesn't mean he should be rude and ignore him. So he said hello (begrudgingly) and the other boy was so excited. Sigh, how does one get through to kids at this age?
Zak had cross country yesterday. He came third so he's off to the districts again this year. That was one of his goals for term 2. One of his other goals was to get Superstar (its a weekly good behaviour award at school) and he got that this week. So he's on a roll!
Robbie has been spending more time in toddlers this week. He spent the whole day there yesterday (including a long sleep on one of the little stretchers. My little bubba is growing up! He loves being in with the "big kids". He's just hit 15 months now. Terrible terrible temper on him. He's at the point now when he is told "no" that he comes to us and either hits or pinches. Not quite sure how to deal with it besides moving away from him. Arghh.. the joys of it. He has 3 (maybe 4) molars now. They all seem to have come through at once! He is a gorgeous boy. Loves being outside and getting dirty.
Dramas in my family at the moment. Long story short - My uncle has an older daughter that his 3 other children don't know about. She has found one of his daughters through my Facebook account and has messaged her. Oh the joys. Stay tuned!
Gotta go - need sleep!
xx
