About Me

My photo
Bon Jovi rocks my world. So do the two little men in my life, Zak (13) and Robert (3). I love scrapbooking and cross stitch and, in a past life, ballroom dancing.

Getting there

It's been a rough couple of weeks. All kinds of stuff going on.. but its all good now.

My little man turned nine last week... NINE... frick... where did that time go? He's off to Dreamworld today with his dad.. last thing I said when I left him there yesterday was "take lots of photos"... ha ha....

Not much scrapping being done. Not for not wanting to.. just keep procastinating dammit. Did the photo swap at Shop and Crop again a couple of weeks ago... I ended up with an awesome layout from Zoe. And I've kept the handwriting she did on the pizza box - love it! Ok Zoe, if you're reading this, don't freak out - I will get over it soon.

We took the kids to Alma Park Zoo last weekend for Zak's birthday. They had a great time. He held a baby salt water croc (Ferarri) - after some coaxing. Not a great pic - note to self - the zoom function on Jason's little old baby isn't great.

Had a really nice lunch at the zoo cafe - thinking of using this photo on the fridge as motivation.. it's a shocker eh!

The donkeys were characters - they actually put their mouths up and opened them to make it easy for us to load the food in! Funny!

I took a risk and put my hand up for another CJ swap - I should have learnt my lesson from the first one I participated in. I've given up hope of it coming back to me. That's two now that I guess will never come back. But at least I know to not do it again.

Jason has been gone for 3 weeks.. it's been an up and down time. And thats all I'll say on that.

I had some kind of tummy bug hit me head on last week. Urgh - just snuck right on up at me. Great timing too - Zak's birthday and I was on a training course off site. Not sure where the flock it came from but glad to see the back of it.

I've decided to give the Tony Ferguson diet thing a go. I'm not usually into those diets that suggest shakes as meal replacements but I feel like I need a kick start. I'll try it for a month or so (if I can stick it out that long) and hopefully that will give me the motivation to start eating better and get a bit more active. I need to do SOMETHING. I've turned into a right lil porker.

Less than three weeks to go until the Shop and Crop Creative Escape down at Newcastle - I can't wait! Hopefully my shyness won't last long - i'm not always good in a crowd but we'll see. There are heaps of girls I've "met" online through S&C so will be great to put faces to screen names.

Anyway, my tummy is grumbling - I need to go and find something (healthy) to munch on. Hope all is well in your worlds.

Shelley :)
